The real colonel is a parthenocarpic (does not require bee pollination) hybrid of a cucumber that ripens early. Suitable for growing in protected (film greenhouses, glazed greenhouses) and open ground. In 2004, the variety was entered into the state register of plants of the Russian Federation. Recommended for use in private garden plots and small farms in the Northern, Central, Middle Volga, Volgo-Vyatka, North Caucasian, North-Western and Central Chernozem regions. Plants vigorous, indeterminate, female or predominantly female flowering type, average or below average branching. Leaves are green, medium-sized, slightly wrinkled; the edge of the sheet is even. The number of female flowers in one leaf axil - 1 - 3 pcs. From the emergence of full shoots to fruiting, 40 - 42 days pass. Planting density in open ground - 3 - 4.5 plants / m2, in greenhouses - 2.5 plants / m2.
Fruits are fusiform, slightly ribbed, with a short neck and large tubercles, 12-15 cm long, 3.8-4.4 cm in diameter, weighing 110-120 g; belong to the Emelya cultivar. The skin is soft, green in color, with short light stripes, often barely noticeable. Pubescence is of medium density. The thorns are white. The pulp is aromatic, sweetish, not bitter, with good taste. The yield of marketable fruits is high - 10 - 13 kg / sq.m.
The hybrid is characterized by a harmonious return of the harvest and the simultaneous mass filling of fruits on the plants. Resistant to cladosporia (brown spot), common cucumber mosaic, tolerant to root rot and powdery mildew.
A universal variety - used fresh and for canning.
