SV 4097 TsV is an ultra-early ripening cucumber variety. The originator is the agrofirm Monsanto Holland B. V. (Netherlands) The seeds are supplied to the Russian market by its subsidiary Seminis. In 2013, the variety was included in the state register of the Russian Federation in all regions. Suitable for commercial production. Recommended for cultivation in glazed and film greenhouses in winter-spring and summer-autumn rotation. But it is also suitable for open ground.
Parthenocarpic variety (no pollination required). It shows its best qualities in good lighting. The period from germination to fruiting is 36 - 40 days.
Plants are compact, medium-sized, medium-branched, open, generative type, mainly with female flowers. The root system is powerful. Lateral shoots are determinant. In one node, 2 - 3 cucumbers are formed. The leaves are green, large in size.
SV 4097 CV is formed into one stem. At the beginning of the growing season, in order to stimulate the active growth of the plant and the root system, blinding is carried out (pinching all lateral shoots and ovaries) in the first 5 nodes. Then, from 6 to 9 knots, one ovary is left in the sinuses, removing all lateral shoots. Starting from the 10th knot, leave all the ovaries and the strongest stepchildren, pinching them after the first leaf. In the axils of these leaves, determinant lateral shoots of the second order will grow, which themselves regulate their growth - they are left. When the central stem reaches the horizontal trellis (height 180 - 190 cm), it is wrapped around it and allowed to grow down, then pinched at a height of 80 - 90 cm from the ground.
Cucumbers are flattened, cylindrical in shape, with medium-sized tubercles. The mass of the green is 80 - 100 grams, the length is 11 - 13 cm, the diameter is 3 - 3.4 cm. The skin is dark green in color, with short light stripes. The thorns are white. Frequent pubescence. The average yield of marketable fruits is 8 - 10 kg / m2, maximum - up to 15 kg / m2.
With insufficient light and low temperatures, the fruits grow shorter. On the contrary, with abundant lighting and elevated temperatures, they stretch out.
A variety of universal use. It is used fresh, in summer salads and for canning.
This hybrid is highly resistant to brown spot, cucumber mosaic virus and moderately resistant to powdery mildew. Differs in high plasticity and resistance to temperature changes, suitable for growing in various soil and climatic conditions. In case of untimely removal, the fruits do not outgrow.
