Cucumber variety Zyatek (F1)

Zyatek is a parthenocarpic hybrid of an early ripening cucumber, bred in the Russian breeding and seed company Gavrish (Moscow). The period from germination to fruiting is 42 - 48 days. In 2007, the variety was entered into the state register of plants in Russia. Recommended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka, Central, Central Black Earth, North, North-West, North Caucasus and Middle Volga regions. Designed for growing in protected ground (glass greenhouses and film shelters), but also suitable for open ground.

Plants are indeterminate, medium branched, female flowering type, with bundle ovaries. In one node, an average of 3 - 4 cucumbers are formed (maximum - 6 - 8 pcs.). The leaves are green, medium in size.

Fruits are medium lumpy, cylindrical, 10 - 12 cm long, 3 - 3.5 cm in diameter, weighing 90 - 100 grams. The skin is soft, green, with short light stripes. Frequent pubescence. The thorns are white. The pulp is dense, good taste, sweetish, without bitterness. Long-term fruiting - throughout the summer season. The yield of marketable fruits is 13.2 kg / sq.m. One plant produces 5 - 7 kg of fruits.

Hybrid Zyatek is resistant to powdery mildew, root rot, tolerant to peronospora. He recovers well after illnesses. Cucumbers not collected from the bush in time do not outgrow, but take a barrel-shaped form.

The variety is universal. The fruits are used fresh, for pickling and pickling. For blanks, you can collect fruits at the stage of pickles (3 - 5 cm) and gherkins (5 - 8 cm).

Seeds are sown at the end of April. The grown seedlings are transplanted into the ground in late May - early June, when the seedlings will have 3-4 true leaves. Planting seeds in greenhouse soil is carried out in mid-May. Planting scheme - 50 × 50 cm.

Advantages of Zyatek cucumber: high yield, excellent taste of fruits, resistance to diseases.

The disadvantages of the variety include the high cost of seeds.
