Rose Blush
Flowers are amazing creations of nature. They delight us with their beauty and intoxicate with their aroma. And those that are the result of experiments with plants carried out by people, sometimes look even more wonderful than the original. Such is the Blush rose - one of many tea hybrids, but with its own special twist.
History of creation
This variety appeared in 2007 thanks to the efforts of the American breeding company Pressman. The name of the amazing plant "Blush" in translation into Russian means "blush". The culture belongs to rather rare and very valuable varieties, rightfully considered a masterpiece of selection on a global scale.
Description of appearance
Blush is a perennial shrub, reaching a height of 0.8 to a maximum of 1.2 meters. In width, it can grow to sizes ranging from 60-80 cm. Long graceful stems, dotted with a small number of thorns, are equipped with large, regular-shaped leaves that have a dark green color and glossy shine on the outside.
This rose was named "Ruddy" because of the extraordinary range of colors in which its flowers are sustained. The tall goblet buds formed on the plant are painted in pink tones, however, as they bloom, they remain so only at the edges, while from the sides they acquire a milky white hue due to burnout in the sun. Because of this, the plant looks very impressive, like a slender beauty with a flushed face. To top it off, the delicate flowers exude a pleasant aroma, however, barely perceptible. The buds develop one on each stem. But it happens that they are formed in groups of three per shoot. The size of the flower is 8-12 cm in diameter. It never opens up to the end, does not show the middle.
Blossom bloom is plentiful, lasts from the beginning of May until autumn frosts, and has an undulating character. It is a hardy plant that is rarely damaged by diseases and insect pests. The variety's resistance to rain is average.
Growing features
The hybrid should be placed in a slightly shaded or well-lit area. The rose should have enough sunlight, then it will delight the eye with the most decorative flowers. Optimal temperature range: + 14 + 20ºС. In the autumn-winter season, the culture can withstand frosts down to -20 ° C.
This aristocrat needs high humidity. This condition is achieved not only by regular watering, but also by frequent spraying of leaves with settled water.
For planting a plant, it is recommended to use a loose fertile loamy soil with a pH in the range of 5-6. Blush is completely unsuitable for sandy soil. The location of the culture must be protected from the winds. Planting is carried out in March-April. Do not plant the plant near large shrubs and trees.
Once every 10-15 days, it is advisable to feed the rose bush with complex fertilizer. It is better to cover the flower for the winter. Despite the disease resistance, the species requires preventive fungicide treatment.
Use cases
The Blush tea hybrid is grown in gardens, flower beds, front gardens, in private plots. The ruddy beauty makes an indelible impression both in single plantings and in flower beds. In compositions, it is perfectly combined with bright yellow and white roses. Due to its unpretentiousness, Blush may well be grown by beginners in the floriculture business. The variety is ideal for cutting, as its flowers retain their freshness for a long time. A bouquet consisting of them can be given to a loved one as a sign of sincere feelings!
