Rose Deja vu

The love for roses of a sufficient number of flower growers is due to the varied colors and noble features of their flowers. Hybrid tea varieties are especially popular. The Deja Vu variety is no exception.

History of creation and description of appearance

This type of flower queen is a novelty of selection. This variety was bred in 2004 by the specialists of the Agrinag's Corporate Values kennel. The culture looks like a vigorous, compact bush with a height of 80 to 120 cm, with erect shoots. The crown width does not exceed 65 cm. The leaves of an aristocratic plant are of medium size and dark green in color. Tight, dense, goblet or cone-shaped buds, up to 11 cm in girth, are formed in inflorescences of 3-5 pieces. They consist of 30−35 elongated petals with wavy edges. In the open state, the diameter of the flower varies from 12 to 14 cm. The petals are painted in a rich yellow color and are equipped with a pink-orange border at the edges. Deja vu flowers are quite fragrant. The rose bloom is abundant, lush, and lasts throughout the season.

The plant has high winter hardiness and good resistance to both insect pests and fungal diseases. The direct rays of the sun do not harm the intense color of the flower petals, and the summer heat does not provoke their sintering. Inflorescence resistance to rain is also quite normal.

Growing and care

The Deja Vu variety is a light-loving plant. But it feels good in partial shade. However, when the crop is planted in a sunny location, the shade of the flowers will be more intense. Growing a perennial in the shade will result in a complete lack of flowering. The plant does not like drafts, so a place protected from the wind is chosen for it. Large shrubs and tall trees should not be planted near the rose, as they will take away the moisture and nutrients intended for the beauty, and will also provide her with shade.

The plant is planted in the spring. In the sector of the site chosen for the decorative perennial, a hole is dug with a depth of at least half a meter. A layer of drainage material is laid at the bottom of the hole, then organic fertilizer is applied, and a layer of soil is on top. It is best to use a mixture of garden soil, humus and compost with the addition of sand as a soil, since the rose prefers fertile, light, water and breathable soil with a slightly acidic reaction.

There will be no problems with taking care of Deja vu. She needs regular watering, periodic top dressing (in the spring - with nitrogen, in the summer and at the beginning of autumn - with phosphorus-potassium fertilizer), loosening and mulching of the soil in the zone of the trunk circle. Pruning the plant should not be neglected. The first such procedure is shown to the culture immediately after planting, and later - in the spring, as soon as you open the bush. Dead branches are removed, two buds are left on the weak ones, strong shoots are shortened, leaving about 12 cm of the main length.

For the winter, Deja Vu must be covered. Before that, autumn pruning is mandatory, after which the rose is sprinkled with dry earth to a height of 20 centimeters. Spruce branches and dry foliage will fit the role of insulation. Alternatively, cellophane is suitable, but it must be fixed to avoid blowing off by the wind. It is especially important to cover the plant when cultivating in a region with harsh, little snowy winters. It will also be necessary to carry out preventive treatment of perennial shoots with a solution of fungicide and insecticide several times during the growing season. So you reduce the risk of fungal diseases and harmful insects on the plant.

Use cases

This variety looks great in single plantings placed on a grassy lawn. Group compositions against the same background are no worse. The rose is ideal for landscaping a flower garden, front garden, courtyard, rose garden, park, square, personal plot. It is planted in flower beds, in bed-boxes and mixborders, along garden paths, fences, around the gazebo, at the front entrance to the house and near the facade of the building. You can arrange hedges using plants of this variety. Daylilies, godetia, petunias, forest and oak sage, catnip, lavender, ornamental cereals will serve as companions for our heroine. The flowering shrub goes well with perennials and perennials with blue, blue, purple or lilac inflorescences; with conifers (boxwood, juniper, thuja), with owners of silvery foliage (for example, wormwood) and umbrella inflorescences; with hosts, phloxes, decorative onions. Bells, irises, astratia, Veronica spicata, thyme, fennel, cuffs, foxglove, geranium, delphinium, lily, verbena, lupine, katran, miscanthus, Byzantine chisel, gypsophila - all these plants can also become good neighbors for Deja vu. This culture will be appropriate in the garden, the design of which is made in Japanese, Spanish, landscape, Russian or country style. It is even grown on the balcony.

Deja vu is loved by florists, because beautiful flowers retain their freshness and attractiveness for a long time - up to two weeks. A bouquet made of luxurious half-opened buds of this rose can be presented to a loved one, and a boss, and a friend, and a relative. It will also suit the prom.

That's right, this rose is a real miracle! The color of the petals is so bright and rich that it is hard to believe that this is a real flower. I just want to touch it. Another positive point of this variety is that it never ceases to delight with flowering all summer. Before some flowers had time to bloom, a new shoot with a whole bouquet of buds was already stretching out of the ground. Dark green leaves are also striking with beauty. Sometimes I get the impression that the rose is not touched by any pests. The plant is almost always clean and there is almost no need to deal with pests.
The rose hibernates well. I cover only the roots with earth, and in the spring I cut off old shoots, because new ones appear from the ground. The rose is easily propagated by cuttings. By the way, last year's young bushes from cuttings also wintered well under the cover of ordinary land. The only negative - Deja Vu is not particularly captivating with its aroma. But her beauty compensates for this disadvantage.
