Apple tree Sverdlovsk is one of the most winter-hardy. Withstands frost without prejudice to future crops down to minus 40 ° C. Has a high resistance to scab.
A variety of late fruiting. The first apples are harvested only by 5 - 6 years.
The apple tree is fruitful. Self-fertile.
Ripening of apples occurs at the end of September. After picking up the apples are immediately ready for consumption. Having good keeping quality, the fruits are stored until the beginning of March.
Fruits of medium size, weighing up to 100 g. The shape of the apples is round, with a weakly pronounced ribbing. The color of the fruit at the beginning of ripening is light green, then changes to yellow or white. On rare occasions, apples develop a faint reddish tan on the sunny side.
The fine-grained pulp is dense, crispy, of a chipping type. Apples have an excellent sweet and sour taste, rated by the tasters at 5 points. The use of fruits is universal.
Such an apple tree has been growing in the garden for more than 30 years. True, they learned about the name quite recently. The taste is juicy, the juice flows directly and splashes when biting. The apples are small, but that's the best for winter harvesting. The crown is very spreading - the only drawback for a small area. Favorite variety of the whole family and many friends. Thanks to the breeders for their work.
That, it turns out, is the name of our beloved apple tree. We have a young tree, bearing fruit for only five years. I noticed that in the past season the apples have become larger than the first years. Courageously endures the Ural winters, in the fall we only wrap the trunk with coniferous branches.
Apples are medium-sized, juicy, sweet and sour, very tasty fresh. In early September, when ripe, you can eat straight from the branch. They are stored for quite a long time, up to December. When it comes to canning, they are actually versatile. Applesauce from them turns out to be tender and fresh in taste. Indispensable in compotes. If you wish, you can cook a very beautiful jam from whole apples right with a tail, our children love this very much.
The variety is unusually productive. Four large baskets were collected from a small tree. The year before last, the tree rested, but in the past it was strewn with apples. Here it is, last year's generous harvest.
