Rene Goscinny

Creations of French selection have a special charm. They differ from other plant varieties created in other European countries by their unique flavor and some zest. To be convinced of this, it is enough to get acquainted with the variety of roses Rene Goscinny (Rene Goscinny). Contemplation of this variety with flowers of a cheerful color can restore spiritual harmony and fill the heart with inner light.

History of origin

Rose Rene Gossini was recognized by the world in 2005. This is the brainchild of Meilland. The variety was named after the French writer and screenwriter Rene Gossini, who is one of the co-authors of the comic strip about Asterix. This culture has won several prestigious awards over the years. In particular, she won gold medals in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Rome (Italy). It is interesting that the decorative perennial was given victory in competitions not so much for the wonderful shade of flower petals as for the delightful aroma of its inflorescences. An alternative name for the shrub is MEIfrypon.

Description of the variety

French beauty is a godsend for aesthetes. It is striking due to its amazing large, cupped, single, moderately double flowers, whose size in the phase of full disclosure varies from 13 to 15 cm.They have an absolutely stunning shade: tangerine orange with pale pink, salmon and bright -red overflows. The number of petals in each bud is 80 - 90 pieces. The flowers open on the bush rather slowly, allowing everyone who wants to enjoy this spectacle to enjoy their beauty. After flowering, they become flat, staying on the plant in this form for a long time. The flower aroma can be characterized as intense, fruity, predominantly apricot, with bright notes of lime blossom, peach, grapefruit and mango. The culture blooms almost continuously, very abundantly, starting in June, throughout the summer season and until the first autumn frosts. The inflorescences stay on the bush for a long time, without losing their attractiveness, only slightly modifying the shade of the petals.

The plant forms a slender, strong bush. The straight and strong shoots of the decorative perennial are densely covered with dark green, large leaves with a bluish tinge, creating a magical contrast with the cheerful flowers. The whole appearance of Rene Gossini's rose is recognized by many flower growers as unusual and insanely attractive.

The variety has good frost resistance and excellent immunity to fungal diseases, especially black spot and powdery mildew. Pests also rarely attack the plant. The flowers of the culture tolerate precipitation well. Too much heat can cause sintering of flower petals, and prolonged exposure of a perennial in direct sunlight can cause the fabulous-beautiful color of open buds to burn out.

Features of agricultural technology

Plain, moderately lit or semi-shady places are suitable for placing shrubs, where there are no cold drafts, but, nevertheless, there is good air circulation. You can not plant a perennial in an area with a high level of groundwater, otherwise the plant will become a victim of decay. The culture is demanding on the quality of the soil, therefore, the choice of soil for planting this rose must be carefully considered. It is recommended to use a highly fertile, drained substrate with good moisture capacity and air permeability for the implementation of the voiced goals. The ideal option is black earth or loam. If you have to plant an elegant French woman in regular garden soil, be sure to improve it by adding humus, peat and mineral fertilizer. The plant should be planted in open ground in the spring, in the month of May. In the southern regions, autumn planting of perennials is allowed.

Provide the plant with regular watering. The hotter the summer, the more moisture the soil under the rose bush should be.The variety does not have good drought resistance, and therefore it is strictly forbidden to allow an earthen coma to dry out in relation to it, if you do not want to deprive your flower garden of a French beauty. For abundant and lush flowering, the shrub needs timely feeding: nitrogen - with the arrival of spring and mineral - in the summer. After watering, twice a month, the soil under the plant must be loosened and mulched: in order to prevent the development of weeds, to improve oxygen access to the roots and retain moisture in the soil.

As for pruning, it is carried out in spring and autumn, removing dried and too thin shoots. In the summer, to stimulate flowering, dried buds and faded inflorescences are removed from the bush in time. Before the onset of cold weather, the plant must be spilled - it is better with dry soil than with peat. From above, the bush is covered with spruce branches. If your pet is forced to grow in a region with a harsh winter, where there is little snow, a special non-woven material may be needed to warm the rose.

It will not be superfluous to include the preventive treatment of the flower with solutions of an insecticide (against insects) and a fungicide (against fungal and bacterial diseases) in the action plan for caring for a perennial. Such procedures will be required for the entire season 2 - 3.
