Cucumber variety Alliance (F1)
Today, the Alliance cucumber variety is represented on the Russian market by two producers.
1. The first is a rather old hybrid of the average ripening period from the breeder Mashtakov Alexei Alekseevich (Rostov-on-Don). In 1999 it was included in the state register of the Russian Federation for the Northern, Northwest, Central, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, West Siberian and East Siberian regions. The authorship is assigned to A.Kh. Mashtakova, L.Yu. Mashtakov, T.R. Strelnikova and T.P. Blinova.
Cucumber Alliance from A.A. Mashtakova
Parthenocarpic variety, female flowering type. Recommended for cultivation in spring and summer in protected ground. From full germination to fruiting, 51 - 54 days pass.
Plants are medium-sized, medium-branched. The leaves are green, medium in size, with a slightly wavy edge. In one leaf sinus, from 1 to 3 cucumbers are formed. The ovary is cylindrical, with medium-sized tubercles, pubescence of medium density.
Zelentsy are elongated-cylindrical, with small tubercles and a short neck, 15-16 cm long, weighing 95-115 grams. The skin is green, with white short longitudinal stripes. Pubescence is rare. The thorns are brown. The output of marketable products is high - 91 - 98%. Fruiting lasts until autumn.
The yield of marketable fruits of the Alliance hybrid by region is as follows:
- North-West: 19 kg / sq. Meter, which is 1.2 kg / sq. Meter higher than the standard Tournier grade.
- Central: 12.4 kg / sq. meter, which is 1.5 kg / square meter higher than the Legend standard.
- North Caucasian: 8.1 kg / square meter, which is 1.8 kg / square meter higher than standards Fontanelle and Tournament.
- East Siberian: 6.4 kg / square meter, which is at the level of standards Zozulya and Cucaracha.
The variety for salad purposes, however, does not lose its properties during canning. Cucumbers have good taste.
This hybrid is highly resistant to powdery mildew, brown spot and moderately resistant to downy mildew. It is characterized by stable productivity, plasticity and high presentation.
Cucumber Alliance by Bejo Zaden
2. The second is an early ripening hybrid from the Dutch company Bejo (Bejo Zaden B.V.). In 2008, it was included in the state register of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions. Recommended for outdoor cultivation.
The variety is bee-pollinated, gherkin type. The period from germination to fruiting is 44 - 47 days.
Plants are medium-sized, medium-growing, indeterminate (the growth of the central lash is not limited), mainly of the female flowering type. Leaves are dark green in color, medium in size. The root system and leaf apparatus are well developed.
Zelentsy are cylindrical in shape, with small tubercles, 6 - 10 cm long, weighing 70 - 90 grams; the ratio of cucumber length to diameter is 3: 1. The skin is thin, green (lighter at the top), with faint white longitudinal stripes. The pubescence is dense. The thorns are white. The output of marketable products is 80 - 96%. The yield of marketable fruits is 151 - 485 c / ha, which is 41 - 73 c / ha higher than the standards Crane and Sunny.
Alliance from Bejo is a versatile variety suitable for industrial canning. Perfect for harvesting pickles and gherkins for the winter. The palatability of the fruit is good and excellent.
This hybrid is highly resistant to olive spot and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as moderately resistant to powdery mildew and peronospora (6/9 points). It is characterized by heat resistance, high transportability and good presentation of the fruit.
